Ceramic Coating

What is Ceramic Coating?

High temperature ceramic coating was designed for the protection of metal components against high temperature heat oxidation, while providing thermal insulation. High temp ceramic coatings maintain excellent adhesion, even after repeated high temperature cycles. As higher temperatures are reached the ceramic compounds flux, becoming harder and more abrasion resistant. These coatings provide superior protection against corrosive environments and thermal shock.

High temp ceramic coatings have shown excellent performance in temperatures from 1200 to 2000 degrees with little or no change in color. These coatings have a non- polished matte or satin finish.

Some examples of items for ceramic coating are:

  • Automotive exhaust systems
  • Race Car Headers
  • Motorcycle pipes
